PM Congratulates Song Saa Private Island Resort for Global Recognition

SIHANOUKVILLE: Prime Minister Hun Manet congratulated the Song Saa Private Island Hotel for making the Condé Nast Gold List for 2024.

Song Saa Private Island is located on Koh Ouen, an island that is part of the Koh Rong archipelago, off the northeastern cost of the main island. The luxury resort offers all-inclusive packages and private villas for its wealthy guests. Villas range from $1,200 per night to upwards of $5,000.

The island is about a 40- to 45-minute boat ride from Sihanoukville and provides has been dubbed a paradise on Earth that every domestic and international tourist should aspire to visit once in a lifetime.

The resort opened in 2012 under the Hong Kong-based Song Saa collective. The company’s CEO established the Koh Ouen Marine Reserve in 2007, Cambodia's first protected marine area. She then co-founded the Song Saa Foundation in 2012, dedicated to preserving underwater sanctuaries and providing means of livelihood and education to communities in the Koh Rong Archipelago and beyond.
